Although this site primarily contains information about & for Canadian rural mail carriers
we also welcome and would like to hear from
rural mail carriers from the United States and around the world.
Rural and Suburban Mail Carriers (RSMCs)
accepted a collective agreement making us CUPW members and
Canada Post employees as of January 1 2004.
This move allowed RSMCs the opportunity to bargain
collectively for fair wages and work conditions.
CUPW has about 6000 members who work for Canada Post
delivering mail in rural and suburban
areas.
